Confidentiality:

Client confidentiality is the principle that an institution or individual should not reveal information about their clients to a third party without the consent of the client or clear legal reason.

Due Diligence:

“Due Diligence” is a term used for a number of concepts involving either the investigation of a business or person prior to signing a contract or an act with a certain standard of care. It can be a legal obligation, but the term will more commonly apply to voluntary investigations. A common example of Due Diligence within the Purchase Contract of a Real Estate Business / Rental Portfolio is the process through which the potential Buyer evaluates / analyses the Rent Roll Portfolio / Business.

This procedure will be defined within the Contract.
